From a magazine you read to a world you enter.
These phases propose a sequence for bringing the product to market. The demo can show features from every phase while trusted editorial remains the front door.
Four launch phases
Make the archive work harder.
Turn trusted editorial into a connected experience members can return to between issues.
Editorial Home
Lead with a strong story, then surface relevant people, places and next actions around it.
Native stories + film
Give long-form work and video a reading home with clear credits and paths into related field knowledge.
People + profiles
Make editors, contributors and trusted practitioners visible so members know whose perspective they follow.
Save + follow
Carry stories and contributor relationships into My Backcountry so discovery has a useful afterlife.
The demo makes the broad requirements tangible across all four phases. These phase labels describe a proposed product launch sequence, while the separate Demo status page tracks what the prototype currently demonstrates. Member research, commercial validation and technical discovery still determine a commercial first release.
