Start from HomeReview as Visitor
User story
As a visitor, I want to contact the magazine by inquiry type so I can reach the right team.
Draft requirements for review · Updated 2026-10-19
What the app should do
- Load contact page copy, publication details and routing choices from published backend configuration. Intake storage and actual message delivery remain separate from the content-read increment.
- Let the reader choose an inquiry type and provide a reply address and message.
- Explain which HOL team or purpose the inquiry is directed to.
- Keep required input and submission confirmation understandable.
- Show a local confirmation without sending an external message.
What to check in the demo
Follow these steps from the role’s landing page through navigation and feature checks.
Begin on Visitor Home while signed out. If an account is active, use the account/workspace menu → Sign out. Public browsing does not require an account.
Navigation from public entry
- 01Begin on Visitor Home, without signing in.
- 02Scroll to the Home footer and select Contact the magazine.
Feature checks start here
Contact
Public-content reads are available for dev review; full story acceptance and stakeholder approval remain separate. Navigation and feature checks can be reviewed in the current demo.
- 03Choose an inquiry type and complete the form.
- 04Check required input and any visible guidance.
- 05Submit and see the inquiry confirmation.
- 06Confirm the demo does not claim that a real message was delivered.
Backend work for this feature
Backend development authorized · Dev only
What needs to be supported
- Load contact page copy, publication details and routing choices from published backend configuration. Intake storage and actual message delivery remain separate from the content-read increment.
How to verify in dev
- Verify published-only anonymous projection, no private/protected payload, stable IDs and links, missing/unpublished records, empty/loading/error UI, and no silent static fallback. Idempotent seed rerun preserves edited records; authenticated/dummy Home entry remains unchanged.
- Open Contact signed out and inspect routing/details; a preview interaction must not imply a message was delivered.
Before this can work
- Begin on Visitor Home while signed out. If an account is active, use the account/workspace menu → Sign out. Public browsing does not require an account.
- Use Explore brief → Signup & upgrade tests for account-transition tests; it preserves separate sample data.
No prerequisite story has been confirmed. The setup above describes the content or decisions needed.
